Rolling ball tack test

Adhesives

The Rolling Ball Tack Tester is a laboratory instrument used to quickly measure the initial tack of pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs), such as tapes, labels, and protective films, according to PSTC, ASTM and EN standards.
Its operation is based on a very simple principle: a standardized steel ball rolls down an incline over the sticky surface. The shorter the distance the ball travels before stopping, the higher the initial tack of the adhesive.
